Wondering about whether to get a subscription to Netflix or Hulu? Isn’t it a modern era “to be or not to be’’? I have a couple of pointers that might help, but trust me, in the end, it’s always, “oh what the hell, let’s get both”. Let’s talk about what we all look for when we are getting an OTT (Over the top) platform subscription.

Library Size

First and foremost how much is my money worth? I know it’s not about quantity but quality. Still there have been plenty of quality work created since the origin of cinema, and every year world cinema makes a wonderful addition to that. How much of that is being offered by your provider, is the question you ask? Although it’s different from other countries, Netflix still has the largest library size, as in April 2020 Netflix had more than 5000 titles selected from in the USA. Hulu is not far behind though, with several contracts from different channels that boost its library to more than 2500 titles.

Uniqueness

Netflix being first of its kind is unique in it’s own way. However Hulu with next day availability of content became a great alternative to cable TV. Without having the problem to record your favourite sitcom and be able to watch it soon after it’s launch, that is a bliss.

There are few more parameters like Cost, User Experience, Device Compatibility etc, which you need to consider but I hope above reference will give you a kick start in decision making.

Good Luck!
